At the end of the April, the 6th „Wind Power in the Nordic & Baltic Region“ conference was held in Stockholm, Sweden. This year the main topic was the perspectives and development of wind power until 2020 in Scandinavia and Baltic States. At the beginning of the conference four wind power associations around the Baltic Sea established agreement of intent.
Estonian, Finnish and Sweden Wind Power Associations and Lithuanian Renewable Resources Energy Association signed a letter of intent to foster international cooperation between wind power associations around the Baltic Sea. Cooperation between four countries is important to exchange knowledge and experience and to learn from each other mistakes that are already made. The first joint action took place in last October, when the wind power conference was held in Tallinn.
