EWPA's blog - Tuul April 23, 2014
For this year’s Global Wind Day the Estonian Wind Power Association invites artists and designers – both amateurs and professionals – to participate in the art contest. The canvas is a real wind turbine located in the North-East of Estonia – let’s give it a unique and stunning identity.
The “Wind Turbine Art” contest is open until 4th of May 2014 and it has a prize of 500 euros.
The winner of the contest will be revealed in May 2014 and in June the selected art work will be painted by experienced painters on one of the tower’s in Viru-Nigula wind farm.
The opening ceremony will take place in the wind farm on the Global Wind Day – 15th of June.
We look forward to receiving ideas in A2 format either by pdf or paper that reflect the environmental friendliness of wind energy and also take account the surroundings. The artwork should be well seen and perceived by viewers both close and distant, and also be in a suitable ratio with the wind turbine tower.
