Nelja Energia tops list of recipients of renewable energy support in February

Wind farms of Nelja Energia were paid more than 1.6 million euros in renewable energy support in February, more than any other generating party in Estonia, figures provided by the transmission system operator Elering show.

Elering disbursed a total of 5.5 million euros in renewable energy subsidies and 379,563 euros in support for high efficiency cogeneration last month. In the first two months of the year renewable energy subsidies totaled 10.9 million euros and high efficiency cogeneration subsidies 926,388 million euros.

The sum total disbursed to Nelja Energia in the first two months of the year was 2.8 million euros.

The Fortum companies Anne Soojus and Fortum received 772,405 euros and 792,007 euros, respectively. In the first two months of the year the companies of Fortum group were paid 3.2 million euros.

The state-owned energy group Eesti Energia and its wind generating arm Eesti Energia Aulepa Tuuleelektrijaam OU received respectively 1.1 million euros and 354,029 euros in February. In the fist two months of the year the companies were paid 2.6 million euros.

Payouts to Helme Energia OU, company of the Graanul Invest group, totaled 217,048 euros in February and 451,550 euros in the first two months of the year.

Tuuleenergia OU was paid 195,588 euros in February and 335,369 euros in the first two months of the year.
