Global Wind Day 2014
In 2014 the Estonian Wind Power Association invited artists and designers – both amateurs and professionals – to participate in the art contest for Global Wind Day. The canvas was a real wind turbine located in the North-East of Estonia. The contest was organised in collaboration with Estonian Academy of Arts and the Estonian Contemporary Art Development Center.
The winner of the contest was Helena Kapp with her artwork named “Caressing fligh”, it was painted by experienced artist on one of the tower’s in Viru-Nigula wind farm. The opening ceremony took place on the Global Wind Day – 15th of June.
